Creating time for yourself.
Let’s face it; we all love the idea of lounging on a deck chair at the beach, or in a book nook at the library, or soaking in a hot bath.
When we think about taking time for ourselves, some such image is usually what springs to mind.
However the reality of a modern, fast paced life often doesn’t allow the space for such things as often as we need them.
As it is an essential part of remaining balanced and healthy, here’s a couple of pointers to make it a little easier:
Whilst heading to work, instead of rushing madly from place to place with your head down, take a moment to look around, recognise the scenery, even if it’s just a flower growing from a crack in the concrete, appreciate the architecture, and breathe in life.
When you are eating, instead of surfing the web or scrolling Facebook, put down your phone and savour each and every bite. Really taste what you’re eating and enjoy the nourishment from the food.
Take a few moments upon waking and before falling asleep to give a thanks for 5 things you are grateful for, and set an intention for the day, or acknowledge your efforts from the day.
These simple but powerful moments, if embraced correctly, will entirely change your life.
Remember, you will only ever have time if you make or take time.
Much love all,
